We have developed these 3D printed covers over many years of preparing and maintaining Formula Ford vehicles. One common concern is having foreign material enter the carburettor during servicing or between sessions with bodywork removed.
Many mechanics use tape or an old rag, however these can easily be missed when the time pressure of a race weekend kicks in, meaning the engine will not start!
Instead, we developed a 3D printed carburettor cover that is highly visible and features a brightly coloured “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT” tether which makes life easy for mechanics.
This cover will fit Weber 32/36 carbs with and without a low profile airhorn an installed. Can be used for long or short term storage.
